Julie Maguire, Vocalist

Julie has worked extensively as a singer and actress in musical theatre including leading roles in Joseph, Only the Lonely and Elvis the Musical, amongst many others. She also works as a session singer and writer, performing and writing various theme tunes and commercials.

Julie recently performed lead vocals on a new album for Universal, and also wrote the music and additional lyrics for the new rock-horror musical Bloodbath which gained critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009.

Helene Horlyck, Vocalist

Helene Horlyck is a highly acclaimed crossover vocalist, and travels effortlessly from opera to pop, jazz to rock and from ballads to stylish ambient grooves.

Her career has included extensive vocal work for TV in the UK and Europe, performing with artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Paul Young, Leo Sayer and Chris de Burgh.

Helene is also an accomplished songwriter, writing and recording the haunting Achillea album with Jens Gad of Enigma, and is now working on an long-awaited solo project fusing opera and ambient.

Lauren Hignall, Sax, Clarinet, Flute

Lauren has played in all the major London venues including The Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Barbican Centre as well as playing all over the UK and Europe and as far afield as China, with a diverse range of musicians from Jamaican Reggae Stars to pop groups and all the major British Big Bands including The BBC Big Band, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The Herb Miller Orchestra and The Michael Garrick Big Band. Lauren is also regular in the West End, most recently playing for the hit West End show The Rat Pack.

Tansy Aked, Musical Director

Tansy has been in the business for over a decade and has worked on over 40 shows as a Musical Director and Pianist, in the West-End and on national and European tours. Shows include Wicked, Phantom, Fame, The Rat Pack, Superstar, Les Miserables, Beauty & the Beast, La Cage aux Folles, Evita and Cats to name a few. She has also been an MD and pianist at the National Theatre on such critically acclaimed productions as The Princes Play, Amy's View, Volpone and Closer. Tansy has made numerous recordings for Film, TV and Radio, and is signed to EMI, along with her composing partners, Steve and Mike who are also in the Too Darn Hot band.
Andy Taylor, Guitar

Andy started playing the guitar aged nine; first classical and then electric. Achieved a Graduate Diploma in Jazz & Light Music (First Class) at Leeds College of Music. Andy enjoys the guitar in all its shapes and forms (including the banjo!) and has accompanied many famous names on television, the stage and in the studio, including: Tony Christie, Gene Pitney, and comedians Little & Large for whom he was Musical Director. Having been in and around the West-End for some twenty years now, Andy has played a lot of shows including Saturday Night Fever, Full Monty and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Mike Smith, Drums

Mike is one of the country's best known drummers, and played with the BBC Big Band for 10 years. He has had the pleasure of working with many of the top names in the business including Sting, Elton John, Cleo Lane, Shirley Bassey, Evelyn Glennie, Larry Adler, Georgie Fame, George Shearing and John Williams to name a few. He has also worked extensively in the West End, on shows including, Hot Shoe Shuffle, Beauty and the Beast, The Witches of Eastwick, Mamma Mia, Chicago and Guys and Dolls. Mike has recorded numerous albums and played on many of the major movie soundtracks.

Steve Richardson, Bass and Vocals

As a top TV session musician, Steve has worked extensively for the BBC, LWT, and Granada Television, and was the Bass player for BBC's Pebble Mill at One. With over 30 years in the business, Steve has worked with a huge array of artists - too many to mention, but they range from Shirley Bassey to The Spice Girls, Ruthie Henshall to Michael Ball, George Mellie to Gerard Kenny, and Basil Brush to Ronnie Corbit! He has also played for many of the top West End Shows, and has played with the LSO, the RPO and the BBC Radio Orchestra.
