Tansy is the inspiration behind TOO DARN HOT (ie blood, sweat and tears!!)

TOO DARN HOT has swiftly become recognized as one of the leading West-End cabaret shows, and has the best singers and musicians from the West-End stage.

TOO DARN HOT has performed sell out concerts at Hever Castle and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, has been invited to perform musical theatre soirees at Chewton Glen and Bylaugh Hall, and is highly popular on the corporate circuit playing anything from private dinners in the City to lavish events at Madame Tussauds.

Tansy Aked is hands-on Producer as well as Musical Director for PINDOCK PRODUCTIONS

As a hands-on Producer and Musical Director, Tansy is fully involved in all aspects of the musical acts within Pindock Production, and employs the musicians and singers with whom she has worked closely during her 10 year career.

Tansy set up Pindock Productions with a view to providing the very best available in live musical entertainment, and has hand picked the finest musicians, singers and musical groups in the country in order to supply world class entertainment.

Tansy’s recordings

Tansy has made numerous recordings for Film, TV and Radio. These have ranged from appearing on the National Lottery with Michael Crawford to playing late-night cabaret on C4 with a cross-dressing Mrs Malaprop!  As Musical Director for the show Falling Stars, starring Peter Polycarpou, Tansy was featured on BBC Radio 2 in a celebration of the music by Charlie Chaplin. Tansy has also played piano for a number of films including Bridget Jones's Diary, starring Renee Zellwegger, How Proust Can Change Your Life starring Ralph Fiennes, and Mrs Henderson Presents starring Dame Judy Dench and Bob Hoskins

Who has Tansy worked with...?

Over the last ten years, Tansy has had great pleasure in working with some of the top names in show business.

These include; Michael Crawford, Ruthie Henshall, Anthony Newley, Frankie Vaughn, Clive Rowe, Brian Blessed, Roy Hudd, Lily Savage, Marti Webb, Paul Nicholas, Gary Wilmot, Philip Schofield and Peter Polycarpou to name but a few. 

Tansy has also worked with a number of great actors while at the National Theatre including Dame Judy Dench, Michael Gambon and Ken Stott.

Tansy and Scherzo Music

Tansy joined forces with Steve Richardson in 2000 and formed the film music company, Scherzo Music.

Since then they have written music for Film, Television and Theatre, ranging from writing the opening trailer music for the Oscar nominated Mrs Henderson Presents starring Judy Dench, to composing the film score for the gritty independent film Blaze. They are also published by EMI with an album released last year.

...Tansy has been in the business for over a decade and has worked on over 40 shows as a Musical Director and Pianist, in the West-End and on national and European tours. Shows include Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Fame, Superstar, Les Miserables, Beauty & the Beast, La Cage aux Folles, Scrooge, Evita and Cats to name but a few. She has also been an MD and pianist at the National Theatre on such critically acclaimed productions as The Princes Play, Volpone, Amy's View and Closer. As a session musician Tansy has made numerous recordings for Film, Television and Radio and is published by EMI.
